Job summary

Summit Public Schools is seeking a Technology Specialist to serve as the primary technical partner for educators and students, based at school sites in the SF Bay Area or Seattle/Tacoma. You will deliver excellent support, maintain infrastructure, and manage IT inventory to keep learning moving smoothly.

You will collaborate with network teams on projects, support Google Workspace and cloud tools, help implement AI tools, and ensure safe, reliable technology for classrooms and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/IT or related field.
• 1-4 years of tier-1/tier-2 IT support experience, troubleshooting devices and handling helpdesk requests.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace/Apps administration, Windows OS, ChromeOS, Zoom, basic networking concepts, and IT best practices.

Responsibilities

• Site Technical Support & User Experience: serve as primary tech contact for hardware, software, and systems across sites.
• Maintain site equipment: install, configure, troubleshoot, repair and maintain laptops, AV equipment, printers, and network filtering.
• Manage site tech inventory: maintain accurate records, tracking, and warranty procedures for all site hardware.
• Administer core cloud platforms: manage user accounts and permissions in Google Workspace and related tools.
• Troubleshoot network infrastructure with central network team to resolve connectivity issues.
• Drive AI adoption and workflow automation using tools like Gemini Pro and Google Apps Script.
