Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for school-based travel assignments in the Houston, TX area. The clinician will evaluate students and deliver therapy services in accordance with individual plans of care and physician orders.

Active licensure as an SLP is required, with CCC-SLP preferred. The role emphasizes compliance with professional standards, health requirements, and agile collaboration with school teams.

Qualifications

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in the state of assignment is required.
• CCC-SLP preferred and may be required by state/contract.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform student evaluations in the school setting.
• Provide and document therapy services per the patient's plan of care and physician orders.
• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student goals.

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician's orders.

Minimum Requirements

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
