Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is hiring a licensed social worker to join our in-district and school-based teams delivering social-emotional services to K-12 students who need additional supports to shine in school.

You will collaborate with school teams and families, develop IEP/BIP goals, conduct assessments, and support behavior plans while maintaining regulatory documentation and engaging with our PBIS framework.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, human services, or related field (mental health, psychology, counseling).
• 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents in a school, special education, or behavior health setting preferred.
• Professional licensure: LPC/LCPC, LCSW or LMSW, LMFT or LMHC, LCMHC.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Provide individual, group, or pull-in counseling services per IEP/BIP.
• Collaborate on creating IEPs, including social-emotional goals and meeting participation.
• Complete social-emotional and behavior assessments and develop BIPs and transition plans.
• Implement behavior management strategies, including crisis de-escalation and safety procedures.
• Support social-emotional learning through targeted curricula and assessments.
• Provide in-service training with other teams and partners.
• Maintain student files in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Education
