Supplemental Health Care is seeking a School Social Worker to join a local contract in Ionia, Michigan. The role supports students in a school setting, collaborating with families and school staff to promote wellbeing and student success.

The Social Worker will work under SHC Education with a focus on crisis intervention, community referrals, and mentoring for teachers and staff. Hybrid, 32.5 hours per week, 6-hour days, ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work.
• License/certification such as LCSW, LMSW, or state-specific license must meet position requirements.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote the general well-being of students.
• Coordinate with outside agencies to support families.
• Mentor and advise teachers and school staff.
• Develop and provide crisis intervention strategies to improve student success.
• Help maximize coping skills for students in difficult situations.
