Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a School Social Worker for a full-time, onsite contract in Michigan. You will work across two elementary schools and a preschool, delivering comprehensive social work services to support students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional growth.

You will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to implement intervention plans and provide group and individual sessions.

Qualifications

• State-approved School Social Worker with MDOT or equivalent credential.
• Ability to work with elementary and preschool settings.

Job description

Step into a highly impactful contract role supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of students as a School Social Worker in a vibrant educational community. Youll work onsite, engaging directly with approximately 40 students across two elementary schools and one preschool classroom. Key experience and qualifications:

• Current approval from the Michigan Department of Education as a School Social Worker
• A passion for working with young learners in elementary and preschool settings
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, families, and staff
• Familiarity with individualized plans and effective interventions for diverse student needs
• Ability to balance responsibilities across multiple sites and support a range of social/emotional concerns

Role responsibilities:
