Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. is seeking a licensed school-based mental health professional to deliver social-emotional services to students who need additional support in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

You will work with school teams and families to create and implement IEPs and BIPs, conduct assessments, and support behavior and SEL goals. A Master’s degree and state licensure are required, with 2+ years in schools or related settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, human services, or related field.
• Professional licensure (LPC/LCPC, LCSW or LMSW, LMFT or LMHC).
• At least 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents in a school or related setting.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Provide individual, group, or IEP-related counseling services.
• Collaborate on creating IEPs and BIPs and participate in IEP meetings.
• Complete social-emotional and behavior assessments and develop BIPs and transition plans.
• Implement behavior management and de-escalation strategies in student safety.
• Support SEL skill development through curricula and targeted supports.
• Provide in-service training with other teams and collaborate with external partners.
• Maintain student documents per regulatory requirements.
