Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. is seeking a qualified school-based social worker to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students with social-emotional needs.

This role offers individual and group counseling aligned to IEPs and BIPs, plus data-driven assessment and behavior planning. You will work with diverse students, participate in IEP meetings, and implement behavior strategies while maintaining regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

• Professional licensure as LCSW or LMSW.
• Master’s degree in social work, human services, or related field.
• 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents in school, special education, or behavior health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Provide individual, group, or push-in counseling services to students per IEP or BIP.
• Collaborate on creating IEPs, including social-emotional goals and meetings.
• Complete social-emotional and behavior assessments and develop BIPs and transition plans.
• Implement behavior management strategies, including de-escalation and crisis management.
• Support SEL skill development through curricula and assessments.
• Provide in-service training with other teams including expressive therapy.
• Collaborate with external partners to support students, families, and staff.
• Maintain documents in student files per regulatory requirements.
