Job summary

Boston Day & Evening Academy in Boston, MA is seeking a Security Paraprofessional to serve as a temporary vacancy, supporting staff and students while on leave.

The role reports to the Principal/Head of schools and focuses on creating a secure educational environment with daily duties including arrival/dismissal, supervising detention, door monitoring, and basic facilities oversight. The position runs through the anticipated tenure of the current paraprofessional.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• 48 Credit Hours of College Coursework or an Associate's Degree or a passing score on ParaPro or WorkKeys.
• Minimum of two years experience working with young children.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the arrival and dismissal of students.
• Manage PM detention hall.
• Monitor the front door and visitor pass program.
• Unlock lavatories and maintain a log of student use.
• Perform other related duties as requested by the Headmaster.
