Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to join our team on a temporary basis to support instruction and student learning under the supervision of the Principal. The position is expected to end on December 8, 2026, when the current paraprofessional returns to work, at which time the covering paraprofessional will be terminated.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 48 college credits or an Associate's Degree or passing ParaPro/WorkKeys.
• Minimum two years experience with young children.
• Must have US work authorization by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
• Provides assistance with classroom activities.
• Prepares instructional materials.
• Assists in classroom set up and clean up.
• Manages individual and classroom behavior using prescribed approaches.
• Supervises students on field trips.
• Performs other related duties as requested by Head of School/Principal.
