Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a Security Paraprofessional for a temporary vacancy to support staff and ensure a safe school environment. The role covers hallways, classrooms, and outdoor areas while assisting with arrivals, dismissals, and supervision of students.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 48 college credits or an Associate's degree, and at least two years of experience with young children. BPS values multilingual candidates and ADA accommodations are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 48 college credits or an Associate's Degree, or a passing score on ParaPro or WorkKeys assessments.
• Minimum of two years experience with young children.
• Authorized to work in the United States by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security of hallways, classrooms, common areas and grounds.
• Assist in arrival and dismissal of students.
• Manage PM detention hall.
• Monitor front door and visitor pass program.
• Unlock lavatories and log student use.
• Perform other duties as requested by Headmaster.
