Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Glendale, CA for a full-time unarmed patrol role in an educational setting. You will monitor facilities, deter unauthorized activity, and provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors while following district policies and emergency procedures.

The position requires at least 6 months of security-related experience, with a preference for those who are comfortable using computers or tablets and who hold a Guard Card or

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, school district policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, classrooms, parking areas, athletic facilities, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures, and report unauthorized persons or policy violations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, complete required daily activity documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
