Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Inspection in Glendale, CA. You will patrol, monitor access points and provide welcoming, safe environments for students and staff. The role emphasizes customer service, reporting, and confident incident response.

The position offers daytime shifts, a 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM schedule, and a pay rate of $19.00 per hour. Prior security experience and a valid Guard Card are valued assets.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screening.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff and visitors while following site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and emergencies.
• Monitor access points, manage visitor activity, and report policy violations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate information to leadership.
