Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screening.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff and visitors while following site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and emergencies.
• Monitor access points, manage visitor activity, and report policy violations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate information to leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, school district policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, classrooms, parking areas, athletic facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures, and report unauthorized persons or policy violations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, complete required daily activity documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
