KRE Security, LLC is seeking dependable armed School Security Officers for the 2026–2027 school year. The role is full-time with an hourly pay of $23.00, a consistent weekday daytime schedule, and an emphasis on safety and professional conduct. Interview with both KRE Security and the client is required.

Applicants must have Act 235 certification and pass state background checks. Promotion potential and benefits are available for staff working 30+ hours per week.

Location: Lehighton, PA

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM–2:30 PM

We are looking for individuals with sound judgement, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.

Please Note: Candidates must successfully complete an interview with both KRE Security, LLC and the client before placement.

Position Highlights

• $23.00 per hour
• Consistent weekday daytime schedule
• Full-time employment during the school year
• Overtime paid after 40 hours worked
• Military and retired law enforcement differential of an additional $0.25 per hour
• Benefits eligibility for employees working 30 or more hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible armed security presence on school property.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the campus.
• Monitor entrances and verify visitors.
• Enforce school safety policies and follow emergency procedures.
• Respond professionally to emergencies and security incidents.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Coordinate with school administration and local law enforcement as needed.
• Help protect students, staff, and visitors while supporting a safe learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Valid Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
• FBI fingerprint clearance
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Professional appearance, sound judgment, and strong communication skills

Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:

• Security or school security
• Law enforcement
• Military service
• Campus security
• Corrections
