KRE Security LLC is seeking an experienced Act 235 certified Armed Security Officer for a full-time school assignment in Lehighton, PA, serving students with Emotional Support needs for the 2026–2027 school year.

The role requires professional armed security, ability to interact respectfully with students, and compliance with all clearances and training. Monday–Friday schedule with potential summer work; overtime paid after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Act 235 certification current in PA.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Check.
• PA Child Abuse Clearance.
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
• Ability to complete school security training, clearances, and client requirements including PPD testing.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and conduct patrols.
• Professional communication skills and dependable attendance.

Armed Act 235 School Security Officer

$23.00 PER HOUR | FULL-TIME | MONDAY–FRIDAY

KRE Security, LLC. is hiring an experienced Act 235 Certified Armed Security Officer for a full-time school assignment in Lehighton, PA, serving students with Emotional Support needs for the 2026–2027 school year.

This position is about more than carrying a firearm and monitoring a building. We are looking for someone who can provide professional armed security while also interacting appropriately, patiently, and respectfully with school-age children.

SCHEDULE & PAY

• Monday–Friday
• 7:15 AM–2:30 PM
• $23.00 per hour
• Full-time school-year position
• Overtime paid after 40 hours
• Potential summer employment may be available
• Client interview and approval required

THE EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience working with or regularly interacting with school-age children. This may include:

• Previous employment in a K–12 school or educational setting.
• Experience in childcare, youth programs, or other child-focused environments.
• Coaching, mentoring, volunteering, or meaningful involvement with children through family or community activities.

Experience working with students who have emotional or behavioral support needs is especially valuable.

We need someone who can demonstrate patience, good judgment, emotional awareness, and the ability to build appropriate professional relationships with students while maintaining clear boundaries.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Current Pennsylvania Act 235 certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Check.
• PA Child Abuse Clearance.
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
• Ability to complete applicable school security training, clearances, and client requirements, including PPD testing.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and conduct routine foot patrols.
• Professional communication skills and dependable attendance.

Being friendly and easygoing is important, but we are looking for someone who can explain how they would approach a student who is upset, build trust, maintain appropriate boundaries, and remain calm during challenging interactions.

Security experience is important. Experience with children is equally important for this particular assignment.
