Job summary

Applitrack in Northbrook Admin Offices seeks a School Resource Officer I - Grant Funded to support Safety & Security. This 40-hour position will collaborate with school administrators and local law enforcement to ensure a safe, secure learning environment.

The candidate must have 5 years of law enforcement experience, an Associate's degree (or progress toward it within three years), and Georgia POST certification with accompanying screenings. It is a grant-funded role serving the Northbrook area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of law enforcement experience.
• Associate's Degree required or to be obtained within three years of hire.
• Georgia POST Basic Law Enforcement certification required, plus criminal history, psychological, and polygraph tests, and valid Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist administrators in providing a safe and secure school environment.
• Serve as liaison between the school and local law enforcement.
• Develop and conduct safety training and emergency drills.
• Foster positive relationships to prevent crime and promote safety.
• Manage subpoenas, interviews, and investigations involving students and staff.
• Create and maintain case files on incidents and coordinate referrals to agencies.
