Job description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students through specialized nursing leadership and expertise. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of students across multiple campuses, providing oversight, medical plan management, and occasional input on IEP consultations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• PEL certification as a school nurse (required)
• Experience with school-aged children and familiarity with K-12 health needs
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple sites and adapt to changing needs
• Comfortable navigating hybrid in-person and virtual responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Regularly scheduled on-site check-ins at all 6 school locations
• Oversight of medication administration and medical care plans for the student population
• Collaboration with school personnel and parents to ensure comprehensive student care
• Provide consultation and input for IEP meetings, primarily at the Oak Lawn Campus
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support holistic student well-being
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by policies and regulations
• Exercise autonomy to set your own monthly hours during the school day, up to 10-12 hours per month
