Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated school-based RN or Certified School Nurse for a full-time, on-site role near Glen Ellyn, IL. You will deliver direct nursing care, develop health plans, and collaborate with educators and families to support student well-being throughout the school year.

IL-PEL with School Nurse Endorsement and an active RN or CSN designation are required; prior school or pediatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Nurse Endorsement.
• Registered Nurse license or Certified School Nurse (CSN) designation.
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to students, including medication administration and emergency response.
• Develop and implement individualized health plans for students with specific needs.
• Serve as a health resource for students, staff, and families.
• Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate student health records in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to promote optimal student health outcomes.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute clinical expertise.
