Job summary

Schoolforce Solutions Inc is seeking a School Nurse (RN) for the upcoming school year. The position offers an hourly rate of $41.00 to $50.00 per hour and requires an active Illinois RN license and a School Nurse endorsement (PEL).

You will provide health assessments, administer medications, manage chronic conditions, and ensure compliance with ISBE, IDPH and HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities include health screenings, records management, and collaboration with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• ADN/BSN degree from an accredited program.
• Current Illinois RN licensure (IDFPR).
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Nurse Endorsement required for public schools.

Job description

We are looking for a talented School Nurse (RN)to join our team for the school year.

Hourly Rate Range: $41.00 - $50.00 per hour

Responsibilities would include:

• Provide health assessments, first aid, and emergency care for students and staff.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician and school guidelines.
• Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies.
• Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and report findings.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators on student health needs.
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), and HIPAA regulations.
• Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Ensure compliance with state immunization requirements and health policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN) from an accredited program.
• Current Illinois RN Licensure (Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation - IDFPR).
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Nurse Endorsement (required for public school nurses).
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
