Qualifications

• Demonstrate safe playground practices and understand appropriate student conduct.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to interact with students, staff, and parents.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with tact, patience and courtesy.
• Basic first aid knowledge is required for handling minor injuries on site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control and discipline of students during playground activities and communicate rules to students.
• Establish positive relationships with students, staff and the local community; support school programs.
• Monitor and report incidents to administration; coordinate with staff on safety and activity supervision.
• Oversee recreational and playground activities; store equipment properly and enforce district policies.
• Administer first aid or necessary assistance to ill or distressed students; complete accident reports.
