Job summary

Heartland AEA in Des Moines, IA seeks School Psychologists for the 2027–28 school year under a 192-day contract. Office location and district assignments to be determined. We also hire School Psychology interns and provide benefits.

Responsibilities include promoting academic achievement and mental health, collaborating with educators and families, and contributing to RtI/MTSS decisions across multiple districts in central Iowa.

Qualifications

• Post-master’s level training in an approved School Psychology program (specialist degree or master’s + 30 preferred).
• Licensure: Professional Service License (or eligibility) through the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners.
• School Psychology Interns are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological services that promote students’ academic achievement and mental health.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and community partners to support individualized learning and behavioral plans.
• Participate in RtI/MTSS assessments, interventions, and data-informed decision-making.
