Job summary

LAFRANCIS HARDIMAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL is seeking a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year to support students’ academic and social-emotional growth, and to collaborate with families and staff.

The role includes conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, interpreting data, MTSS implementation, counseling, classroom observations, and developing FBAs/BIPs; participate in multidisciplinary teams; provide crisis intervention and trauma-informed support.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology or related field required.
• NYS Certification in School Psychology required.
• Spanish-speaking is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations (cognitive, academic, behavioral, social-emotional) as appropriate.
• Interpret assessment data and communicate findings to families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with teachers to identify students facing academic, behavioral, or social-emotional challenges.
