The NSW Department of Education is seeking a School Psychologist for Dubbo College South Campus. You will provide counselling and psychological assessment to students, collaborating with teachers to support learning and wellbeing needs, and helping families navigate mental health concerns.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy.
• General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Valid and current Working with Children Check (NSW).
• Current and valid driver’s license with ability to travel between work sites.

Aufgaben

• Provides counselling and psychological services to students, individually and in groups, including short-term interventions.
• Implements the Professional Practice Framework for NSW School Counselling Service.
• Collaborates with the principal, staff and student support services to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes.
• Contributes to social, emotional and academic development of students and supports students with complex behavioural needs.
• Administers cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments and reports results to improve learning and wellbeing.
• Works with families, carers and external agencies to develop school-based support for students.
• Responds as part of a team to assist schools experiencing serious incidents.
• Refer students and families to agencies that support health and wellbeing outcomes.
