Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy and three years of experience in a public school setting.
• Arizona Physical Therapy License.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Assess students’ gross motor and development skills to identify deficits and develop recommendations.
• Consult with teachers, parents, other personnel and outside professionals to develop plans for services and recommendations.
• Arrange and supervise the implementation of therapy plans.
• Research resources and methods to determine appropriate approaches for addressing students’ functional goals.
• Screen students to determine the need for further individualized assessment.
• Prepare documentation that complies with ADE requirements.
• Bill Medicaid for therapy services provided.
• Travel among school sites to consult with parents, teachers, paraprofessionals, and other related service providers.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Student Services paraprofessionals in cooperation with the Principal.
• Complete other duties as assigned or required.
