Job summary

Central Bucks School District is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for a full-time, benefits-eligible position at Groveland Elementary School. The role runs 10 months, 8:45 AM to 4:05 PM, during student days.

The PCA will assist a student with autism, emotional/behavioral needs, intellectual or medical needs, and daily activities in the classroom and beyond. The candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED, be a reliable team player, and communicate well with students and adults.

Qualifications

• Must work as part of a team and communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Be a positive role model for students in all settings.
• High school diploma or GED required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to students with autism, emotional/behavioral or medical needs in classroom, specials, lunch and recess.
• Assist with daily activities, academic tasks and social interactions.
• Follow crisis prevention strategies as needed; training provided.
