Job summary

Saginaw Township Community Schools is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in a full-time role. The position involves assisting with lesson plans, providing individualized help, monitoring progress, and maintaining a safe learning environment.

You will work 6 hours daily, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch, and assignments may vary by building. A high school diploma is required; associate degree preferred, and experience with children is valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Provide individualized support to students, including those with special needs.

• Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
• Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Facilitate small group or one-on-one instruction as needed.
• Support students during transitions between classes and activities.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to address student needs and concerns.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Uphold school policies and procedures while fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
