Job summary

Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is seeking a School Aide to support teachers by preparing instructional materials, assisting with testing, and maintaining an orderly classroom. The role involves supervising students, helping with records, and supporting substitutes.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with preferred experience in working with children. Eligible candidates must meet education pathways (48 college credits or an associate degree or CFISD proficiency test score 70+).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience working with children preferred.

• Physically able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must meet one of: 48 college credits,Associates or higher,Competency on CFISD proficiency test (score 70+).

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Help with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
• Help with inventory, care and maintenance of equipment, books and supplies.
• Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Conduct instructional exercises with individuals or small groups.
• Supervise students during day, including lunchroom, bus and playground duty.
• Inform teacher of special needs or problems of students.
• Participate in staff development training programs and faculty meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
