Job summary

Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District is seeking an Aide/Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year at the high school level. The position supports teachers, assists with instructional materials, and supervises students inside and outside the classroom.

Starting date is immediate with an 187-day contract. Salary is $21,739 per year under IP-2 pay grade; CFISD requires appropriate education credits or proficiency test results. Applicant regions include Cypress, Texas.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school graduation or GED.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Flexible and able to adjust daily routine.
• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate a professional appearance and attitude.
• Physically able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• One of: 48 college credits, Associates or higher degree, CFISD proficiency test (70+).

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Help with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
• Help with inventory, care and maintenance of equipment, books and supplies.
• Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
• Help supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus and playground duty.
• Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
