Job summary

Gersh Autism is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide school-based OT for K-12 students in a West Hempstead, NY setting. The role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and plan interventions within IEP goals, ensuring student safety and progress.

The ideal candidate holds an NBCOT-recognized OT degree and NY OTR/L licensure, with at least one year of pediatric or school-based experience and strong sensory processing skills.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an NBCOT-recognized occupational therapy program.
• Must possess New York State OTR/L licensure.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in school-based or pediatric settings.
• Experience with sensory processing knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with other disciplines to plan and deliver occupational therapy services.
• Evaluates student performance and documents results for IEP goals.
• Develops individualized intervention plans based on evaluations.
• Maintains accurate records and ensures student confidentiality.
