Gersh Autism in the Bronx, NY, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide school-based OT services for 5–21 year olds within K-12 programs. The role involves collaboration with teachers and other therapists, evaluating student needs, and adapting intervention plans to support participation in educational activities.

Qualifications

• Must have completed NBCOT-accredited occupational therapy program and fieldwork requirements.
• Must possess State OTR/L Licensure in the hiring state.
• One year of experience as an occupational therapist, preferably in school or pediatric setting.
• Must have sensory knowledge.
• Experience with children with disabilities is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with other disciplines to plan and deliver OT services.
• Evaluates student occupational performance using functional assessments.
• Writes comprehensive reports reflecting strengths and barriers and guides intervention.
• Develops and implements intervention plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Participates in multidisciplinary meetings to support student outcomes.
• Maintains records, ensures confidentiality, and documents progress.
