Job summary

Gersh Autism Academy in Bronx, NY, seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide OT services to students in a K-12 setting. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, review outcomes, and modify intervention plans to support individual IEP goals.

Candidates must complete an NBCOT-accredited OT program, hold State OTR/L licensure, and have at least one year of pediatric/school experience, with strong sensory knowledge. CPI safety and documentation are required.

Qualifications

• Must have NBCOT-recognized OT program completion and completed fieldwork requirements.
• Must possess State OTR/L Licensure in the state where you were hired.
• One year of experience as an occupational therapist, preferably in school system or pediatric practice setting.
• Must have sensory knowledge.
• Experience working with children with disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with disciplines to plan and deliver targeted OT services.
• Evaluates and documents student occupational profiles through assessments and observations.
• Develops occupationally based intervention plans to meet IEP goals.
• Participates in multidisciplinary meetings to review results and develop IEP/IEP goals.
• Maintains records, confidentiality, and professional development; adheres to safety and CPI procedures when needed.
