Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks an Occupational Therapist to cover a maternity leave for 12 weeks starting in January in a school setting.

You will serve primarily elementary students with some junior high, work within school day 7 am–5 pm and supervise a COTA; collaborate with teachers and families.

Qualifications

• Current Arizona OT license.
• IVP Fingerprint clearance card required.
• Previous school-based OT experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with elementary student populations; junior high level is a plus.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to provide supervision and direction to a COTA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive OT services to students, adapting plans to individual needs.
• Work primarily with elementary classes, with some service to junior high.
• Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEP goals, and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals for student success.
• Supervise and mentor a COTA, offering guidance and input as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to positive outcomes.
