Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks an Occupational Therapist to support students in a school-based setting across classrooms, homes, and community environments in Michigan. This contract-based role focuses on delivering OT services, assessment, and collaboration with school staff to meet each child’s needs.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, participate in IEP meetings, educate families, and document progress while adapting to varied caseloads to maximize student outcomes.

Qualifications

• OT license required
• Experience in schools, home health, or pediatric healthcare preferred
• Familiarity with IEPs and related documentation
• Strong collaboration with educators, families and multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of OT interventions in classroom and home settings
• Time management and adaptable caseload handling

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students needing OT services
• Deliver direct therapy and consultative support within schools, homes, or community environments
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators and caregivers to integrate OT goals into daily routines and activities
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
• Educate and support families and school staff on OT interventions and adaptive strategies
• Foster a positive, supportive environment to help students reach their fullest potential
