Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is hiring an Operations Coordinator for KIPP Bridge Academy in Oakland. The role supports a safe, orderly campus and student culture during a school day, reporting to the School Leader.

This is a full-time, school-year position onsite, with a non-exempt status. Responsibilities include supervising hallways, managing student movement, assisting with arrival/dismissal, and maintaining campus operations and records.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships with students while maintaining clear boundaries.
• Ability to calmly redirect student behavior, use age-appropriate de-escalation strategies, and recognize when a situation should be escalated to school leadership.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to follow established systems and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced school environment.

Responsibilities

• Executes established supervision and student culture routines across hallways, bathrooms, common areas, and other high-traffic spaces so students experience a safe, orderly, and welcoming campus.
• Supports consistent schoolwide behavioral expectations through respectful redirection, age-appropriate de-escalation, and positive relationship-building so students understand and meet community expectations.
• Escalates significant, recurring, or higher-risk student behavior and safety concerns according to established school protocols so appropriate leaders can respond promptly.
• Maintains consistent implementation of established student safety, crisis response, and behavior protocols within the scope of the role.
• Executes established transition and student movement routines during class changes, arrival, dismissal, lunch, and other school activities so students reach assigned locations safely and efficiently.
