Job summary

Zeta Charter Schools in New York City seeks an Operations Director to lead safety, facilities, and day-to-day school operations across our Bronx, Upper Manhattan, and Queens campuses.

You will build a high-performing SBOT, own the ZOE Action Plan, partner with Network Operations and Finance, and ensure compliant, student-centered operations. This on-site role offers a salary of $105,000–$150,000 with a merit-based bonus.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience leading high-performing operations teams and talent development.
• Experience with safety protocols, risk management, and crisis response in schools or similar settings.
• Strong ability to balance competing priorities, drive improvements, and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety systems, training, and emergency plans for the school.
• Manage an operations team to deliver scalable facilities and day-to-day operations.
• Design and refine schoolwide operational processes for arrivals, meals, transitions, and dismissals.
• Oversee facilities management, vendor relationships, and emergency preparedness.
• Ensure financial and compliance operations meet DOE and regulatory requirements.
