Department Overview

A part‑time lecturer position within the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business, School of Global Innovation and Leadership. Candidates will teach undergraduate courses in one of the three concentrations: Operations and Supply Chain Management, Entrepreneurship, or International Business. The role is available on the main campus in San José, California, or online.

Brief Description of Duties

• Teach undergraduate or graduate courses as scheduled, using synchronous, asynchronous, hybrid, or other modes.
• Maintain weekly office hours, design and grade exams and assignments.
• Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
• Use the Canvas Learning Management System consistently to support students and maintain course materials.
• Adopt inclusive teaching practices that support a diverse student population.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s or higher degree relevant to the courses to be taught, with at least three years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in teaching.
• Awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural student population, including cross‑cultural competency.
• Ability to engage students within an inclusive learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• College‑level teaching experience.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary is based on rank and experience. Anticipated monthly rates for full‑time equivalents are:
  
  • L‑A / Range 2 – $5,507–$5,959
  • L‑B / Range 3 – $6,221–$7,481
  • L‑C / Range 4 – $6,825–$9,431
  • L‑D / Range 5 – $8,593–$10,347
• Part‑time rates are prorated on a monthly basis.
