Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools is seeking a Manager Assistant: School Nutrition to support the School Nutrition Manager and staff. The role covers instruction and work assignments for School Nutrition Associates, assists in food preparation, cooking, serving, and equipment/ facility cleaning, and acts as back-up to the manager as needed.

The position requires a High School Diploma or Equivalency, two years of food service experience, strict adherence to USDA and COMAR sanitation standards,

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years food services experience.
• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Adhere to USDA guidelines for the Child Nutrition Program and COMAR sanitation standards.
• Ability to lead and supervise 1–5 staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain food quality using standardized recipes and procedures.
• Assist in planning food preparation schedules.
• Prepare, cook and serve food and ensure safety/ sanitation.
