Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools is seeking a Manager Assistant: School Nutrition to support School Nutrition Managers at eligible sites. The role involves instructing and assigning tasks to nutrition associates, assisting with cooking, serving, inventory, and back-up coverage.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma, two years of food service experience, and work to USDA guidelines and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
• Two (2) years food services experience required.
• Ability to adhere to USDA guidelines and AACPS policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain food quality using approved recipes and SOPs.
• Assist in planning food preparation schedules.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and safety.
• Inspect deliveries for quantity and quality.
• Assist with inventories of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Lead and train staff; supervise 1–5 direct reports.
• Attend in-service meetings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
