Shelby County Schools is seeking a School Nutrition/ Cafeteria Worker to assist the Nutrition Supervisor in preparing and serving nutritious meals to students and staff in a clean, safe environment. You will follow menus, read recipes, and help with set up, serving lines, and clean up, ensuring compliance with HACCP and health standards.

The role involves basic cashier duties, inventory checks, and participating in trainings to maintain high food safety and service quality.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• TB test negative and background check required.
• Minimum 6 months experience in quantity food preparation.
• Ability to follow recipes and safety procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and serve meals according to menu and schedules.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures for safety.
• Set up serving lines and stock utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness of prep and serving areas.
• Assist inventory and stocking of supplies.
• May operate a point-of-sale terminal as cashier.
• Adhere to district and health department standards.
• Maintain records and attend trainings.
