Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking a Child Nutrition Secondary Manager for Skyline High School in Mesa, AZ. The role oversees daily kitchen operations, ensures proper food quality and safety, and supports breakfast and lunch programs for students and staff.

The position requires a strong background in food production, safety regulations, staff training, and inventory management, with a focus on efficient service and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Must have Maricopa County Food Service Worker Certificate.
• Must acquire Maricopa County Certified Food Service Manager Certificate within three months.
• Knowledge of food production and quantity cooking.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee efficient and economical operation of kitchen and ensure quality and quantity of food.
• Manage meal programs including safety, sanitation, presentation, service, and cash handling.
• Determine and order food amounts for in-house production.
• Train and evaluate kitchen staff; establish job descriptions.
• Maintain accurate time sheets, daily reports, deposits, meal applications processing, production records.
• Assist with inventories and promote school lunch programs.
• Prepare vendor reports and safety reports.
