Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Progressive food service management experience is required.
• Supervisory experience in a food service or school setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Determine plans for efficient service, equipment, facilities and operations.
• Manage daily food service operations and revise internal procedures.
• Maintain high standards of quality control for production and distribution; supervise menus and meals per USDA patterns.
• Participate in interviewing and supervising staff; plan, direct, schedule and evaluate work of subordinates.
• Provide orientation and training on safety, sanitation, portion control, recipes and production records; track USDA training hours.
• Estimate and order food and supplies; arrange receipt and storage of goods and inventory.
• Maintain perpetual inventory and financial records; manage state and federal reporting.
• Monitor expenditures and approve invoices; maintain budget.
• Inspect kitchens, dining areas and equipment for health and sanitation compliance.
• Schedule maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Coordinate satellite food service operations as needed for multiple facilities.
• Attend staff meetings and ensure ongoing certifications and USDA training hours.
