Job summary

Nampa School District is seeking a Nutrition Services Production Lead to supervise production staff, ensure safe food handling, proper use of kitchen equipment, and efficient meal preparation across district sites.

You will work with the Nutrition Services Area Supervisor to follow USDA, Idaho Department of Education and Southwest District Health guidelines, participate in summer Food programs, and help maintain inventory, ordering, and quality control to support students and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; related nutrition service experience preferred.
• Idaho driver's license; USDA Professional Standards, minimum 10 hours CE yearly.
• Able to work with students, staff and the public; strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the supervision and works in food preparation for USDA meal programs, including Summer Food.
• Completes end of day reconciliation of meal service on production records and cashiering documentation.
• Assists with daily/monthly inventory of food and non-food supplies using Inventory Software when directed.
• Takes inventory annually for both Nampa School District and Nutrition Services if directed.
• Assists with the ordering of supplies when directed.
• Oversees deliveries for quality and damage; checks items against order specifications.
• Makes corrections on invoices on site and returns items that are not acceptable.
• Ensures all invoices are signed by Supervisor or Lead Production and meals meet tray requirements.
• Assists with supervision of staff to guarantee proper food preparation, service and cleaning techniques.
