Job summary

Lynn Public Schools is seeking School Nurse Substitutes to provide professional health services and coordinate resources for student and staff health. The role requires an active Massachusetts RN license and CPR/AED certification, with at least two years of supervised nursing experience in child health or community health.

Substitutes are hired as needed during the school year at a daily rate of $250. Employment is contingent on pre-employment checks and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents and advocate for children in order to effectively problem solve
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and ability to work with all stakeholders

Responsibilities

• To provide professional health services and coordinate the resources of the school, home, and community as they pertain to the total health of students and staff.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff and families to support student health.
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with district policies.

DUTIES: To provide professional health services and coordinate the resources of the school, home, and community as they pertain to the total health of students and staff.

An offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including a drug test, National fingerprint-based Criminal Background Check (NCBC), and Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI).
