Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contracted, school-based placement in West New York, NJ for the 26/27 school year. This is a full-time position supporting a local K-12 district with private duty/1:1 nursing services.

You will work with a dedicated team to provide clinical backing, supervision, and collaboration within a school setting. Pediatric population experience is required, and a 1:1 nursing role is expected.

Qualifications

• RN license valid in New Jersey
• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program
• CPR/AED certification current
• Competency in skills required for the assigned student
• Ability to work independently in a non-clinical environment
• Experience working with Pediatric population required

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of the assigned student throughout the school day
• Implement and monitor student health plans
• Accompany student during transportation and community-based activities
• Communicate significant status changes to family, school staff, and clinical leadership
• Provide first aid, daily medical care, and emergency support
• Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and HIPAA requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Active RN license valid in New Jersey
• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program
• Current CPR/AED certification
• Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student
• Ability to work independently in a non-clinical environment
• Experience working with Pediatric population required

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families, therapists, and healthcare providers
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Prior school-based experience highly preferred
