Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Dover, NH for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time Building Nurse role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

You will provide first aid, manage chronic conditions, and administer medications while coordinating IHPs/IEPs and collaborating with parents and staff. Competitive pay and clinical support are included.

Qualifications

• RN license must be active and valid in New Jersey.
• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification.
• Knowledge of nurse delegation and state scope of practice.

Responsibilities

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Dover, NH for the2026-2027 school year!This is a full-time Building Nurse role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active RN license valid in New Jersey
• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Knowledge of nurse delegation practices and state scope-of-practice regulations
• Required Experience:
  • Pediatric skillset
  • School-based nursing experience
  • Tube feedings and management
  • Oxygen and airway management
  • Medication administration
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently
    
• Preferred: Trach and Vent management

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide first aid and manage everyday illnesses (headaches, stomachaches, injuries)
• Monitor students with chronic conditions (asthma, diabetes, seizures, allergies, mental health conditions) and implement routine and PRN medications and care per orders
• Verify medical orders, document medication administration, and safely administer routine and PRN medications
• Act as the lead responder to medical emergencies on campus
• Train staff on emergency protocols and equipment use
• Develop and update IHPs (Individualized Healthcare Plans), IEPs (Individualized Education Plans), and 504 Plans related to medical conditions; participate in meetings as needed
• Collaborate with parents and school staff regarding students with medical needs
• Conduct or assist with health screenings (vision, hearing, growth/BMI, blood pressure)
• Delegate and supervise nursing tasks in accordance with state regulations
