Job summary

E-Therapy is hiring an onsite School Nurse to support students at West Richland, WA for the 26/27 school year. You will care for acute and chronic health needs, administer medications, and promote wellness in a school setting.

Start Sep 2026, full-time (30 hrs/week) at an Early Learning Center, onsite only. Requires WA RN license, BLS, and pediatric nursing experience. Competitive hourly compensation and supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Current RN license in WA state.
• BLS certification required; PALS preferred.
• Experience in school or pediatric nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration with students, families, and staff.

We are currently seeking a School Nurse to join our dynamic team at E-Therapy. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing healthcare services, promoting wellness, and supporting the well‑being of students in school settings.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students with acute or chronic health conditions, including but not limited to medication administration, wound care, catheterization, and tube feeding.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings, monitor vital signs, and assess students’ overall health status to identify and address health concerns and emergencies.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized health plans and accommodations for students with special health needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders, nursing protocols, and school policies, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
• Educate students, families, and school staff on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic health conditions, providing training and support as needed.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed, following established protocols and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunization records, medication logs, health assessments, and incident reports.
• Collaborate with school counselors, psychologists, and social workers to support students' mental health and emotional well‑being as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
• Previous experience working as a school nurse or in pediatric nursing (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of pediatric health conditions and treatments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, school staff, and healthcare providers.
• Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
