Job summary

CCRES is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide direct health services to students in Susquenita School District. The LPN will work under a Certified School Nurse, delivering essential care during a standard school day.

The role runs on a 7.5-hour schedule (7:30am–2:50pm) with a daily rate of $200. This is an independent contract (1099) position with no benefits. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• PA LPN license in good standing is required.
• Experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic health needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document student health status and nursing services provided.
• Respond to student illnesses, injuries, and emergencies.
• Assist with implementation of IHPs, 504 Plans, and IEP-related health services.
• Communicate effectively with families, school staff, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs.
• Maintain accurate, confidential health records.
• Support health screenings, immunization compliance, and other school health initiatives.
• Collaborate with educational teams to support student success.

SUMMARY:

CCRES is seeking a caring and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide health services to students in school settings. Working under the supervision of a Certified School Nurse, the LPN supports student health, safety, and access to education.

• The daily rate for a School Nurse - LPN is $200 per day
• Location: Susquenita School District
• Schedule: 7:30am to 2:50pm -- 7.5 paid hours per day (on full school day)
• Follow student academic calendar year

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic health needs
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor and document student health status and nursing services provided
• Respond to student illnesses, injuries, and emergencies
• Assist with the implementation of Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs), 504 Plans, and IEP-related health services
• Communicate effectively with families, school staff, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs
• Maintain accurate, confidential health records
• Support health screenings, immunization compliance, and other school health initiatives
• Collaborate with educational teams to support student success

• PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
• PA Department of Education FBI Clearance

• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Professional Liability Insurance ($1-3 million coverage)
