Job summary
CCRES is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide direct health services to students in Susquenita School District. The LPN will work under a Certified School Nurse, delivering essential care during a standard school day.
The role runs on a 7.5-hour schedule (7:30am–2:50pm) with a daily rate of $200. This is an independent contract (1099) position with no benefits. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
Qualifications
- PA LPN license in good standing is required.
- Experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic health needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and document student health status and nursing services provided.
- Respond to student illnesses, injuries, and emergencies.
- Assist with implementation of IHPs, 504 Plans, and IEP-related health services.
- Communicate effectively with families, school staff, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs.
- Maintain accurate, confidential health records.
- Support health screenings, immunization compliance, and other school health initiatives.
- Collaborate with educational teams to support student success.
