Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind (CSDB) in Colorado Springs seeks a part-time Nurse I in Student Health Services. You will administer medications, develop health care plans, and support IEP health sections, tailoring care for Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, or visually impaired students.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN licensure from the Colorado Board of Nursing or other eNLC-state licensure.
• Eligibility for School Nurse endorsement within three years of hire.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or commitment to attain it.

Responsabilités

• Assess student illness or injury and implement action plans with proper documentation.
• Administer medications, follow treatment orders, and monitor health care plans.
• Delegate tasks to unlicensed staff with appropriate supervision and training.
• Coordinate emergency care and ensure nurse coverage on campus.
• Educate students, families, and staff on health topics and healthy lifestyles.
• Assist with IEP health sections and collaborate with CSDB staff on care needs.
