Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind (CSDB) is seeking substitute teachers to provide instructional support in the absence of a regular classroom teacher. Assignments vary in length and location, with no guaranteed hours or set schedules.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, experience with children/youth, and ASL proficiency for assignments serving Deaf or Hard of Hearing students, plus a Colorado Educator License or Substitute Authorization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children or youth required.
• Experience with Deaf/Hard of Hearing/Blind/Visually Impaired preferred.
• ASL proficiency required for assignments serving Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.
• Current Colorado Educator License or Colorado Substitute Authorization required prior to employment.

Responsabilités

• Provide instructional support in the absence of a regular classroom teacher.
• Implement lesson plans and support student learning.
• Maintain a safe, positive learning environment for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Blind, or Visually Impaired students.
